JENNIFER FRANCIS

Jennifer Francis is a Calgary-based artist whose work explores memory, stillness, and the emotional resonance of everyday spaces. 

Growing up in a super creative family, Jennifer was always drawn to the arts. After two long careers as a Red Seal chef and in healthcare, she rediscovered a lifelong passion for visual storytelling. 

Working primarily in acrylic, Jennifer creates atmospheric, narrative-driven paintings through layered glazing and meticulous detail. Inspired by artists such as Edward Hopper and Andrew Wyeth, she invites viewers to pause, reflect, and discover their own stories within each scene, preserving the quiet beauty of moments that might otherwise go unnoticed.
