JEAN PARKER

Jean Parker is an artist who is constantly learning and experimenting to push her creativity and her art. Over the last 5 years she worked with multiple mentors to hone her skills and uncover her style. In 2025, she had a year of firsts with her first Solo Show (Strength & Grace), her first Residency (Chateau_Orquevaux), and first Plein Air Festival (Wexford Ireland). Jean participates in multiple juried exhibits and shows, both live and online, and has Canadian and International Collectors. She is a member of multiple Art Associations. Jean was involved in starting the Calgary Artists Studio Tour to help grow art awareness in Calgary.

Jean Parker is a Canadian painter, living in both Calgary and Prince Edward Island. Jean is an impressionist painter who loves to paint on canvas. She selects her medium - acrylic, oil, or mixed media for her painting based on the story she is telling.

Have you ever been stopped short by that amazing sunset or a moody, misty day? Jean Parker is intrigued by the forces that collide to create these beautiful moments. For her these “minor cord” moments of life generate such vibrancy, mood and mystery.To paint this interplay and convey the feelings these moments elicit, her art encompasses layers of movement, texture, bold colours and lines. Jean’s quest to paint is energized by her need to find out what inner tactile creativity remains untapped and to share her visual stories.
